Grills are in, look great!
The grates work perfectly, they are split so you can take one off during grill time and add more charcoal.
Hood for Feastmaster Grill
After an exhaustive search I think I have found a hood replacement for my 16" x 25" (Grill Area) Feastmaster Grill. It is a hood built for the FireMagic Drop in Grill by the Robert H. Peterson Company in City of Industry, CA. I am going to order one and see if it works. You can order from "Warming Trends BBQ & Fireplace Company" in Sonoma, CA and have it shipped.
Update: WOW! they want $450.00 bucks for the hood, that may be my Christmas Present.

Replacement Charcoal Trays - Feastmaster Grill
Where did I get my replacement charcoal pan for my Feastmaster Grill? I went to a local metal shop here in Fremont, CA. Cost about $40.00 bucks. 1/16" Steel Plate cut & bent to form a tray. 23" Wide x 14" Deep/Back x 2" High Sides all around. I didn't have them "Weld the corners" because the 1/16" plate steel sides are so thick they won't bend.
Paint Used - Feastmaster Grill
This specifically made for Backyard BBQ's, it worked great, gave a nice satin finish. Gave it 3 coats.
Clean & Prep for Painting - Feastmaster Grill
Time to start the spraying process, hung the grills from a backyard tree and cleaned & prepped them for painting.
New BBQ Grill Grates for Feastmaster Grill
New BBQ Grids/Grates have been ordered from Amazon:
Music City Metals 54002 Porcelain Steel Wire Cooking Grid Replacements. 15.75" Deep x 23.87" Wide.
Sandblasting - FeastMaster Grill Renovation
The first step, SANDBLASTING, yep I took them down to my local guy in Fremont, CA.

He did a beautiful job, they turned out like they were straight from the factory. only charged me $40.00 bucks each.
My Old Feastmaster Grill - Renovation
Well I have an old 1959 or 1960 FeastMaster Drop In BBQ in my backyard, actually I have 2 of them and I have looked online for years to get new ones but they are no longer made. Nor can I get parts, so I decided to renovate my old ones.
If you have ever grilled on these they are fantastic, I cannot find another "Charcoal" style grill that allows you to crank up the charcoal right underneath the steaks and lower it for pork or chicken and let the meat cook through.
